Pat Glazier

Chairman of the Board

Mr Glazier has been involved in the mining and lumber industries for over 25 years. He has a wealth of experience in assisting publicly trading companies with their financial requirements. Mr. Glazier is also a director of Brazauro Resources.

Dr. Shane Ebert

Director, President and VP Exploration

Dr. Ebert has 26 years of gold, copper, and base metal exploration experience in North America, South America, Australia, and Europe. Dr. Ebert was involved in the discovery of a large copper deposit in Mexico (Bahuerachi Deposit), a gold deposit in eastern Canada (Viking), and a Cu-Au porphyry on the Ootsa Property (West Seel).  He has extensive experience managing junior exploration companies and is a registered professional geoscientist with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.

Leif Nilsson

Director, CEO

Prior to joining Surge Copper, Mr. Nilsson dedicated 15 years to a career in mining advisory and investment banking for various Canadian and international firms, most recently serving as Senior Vice President at the Australian multinational investment bank Macquarie Capital. He has advised on many high-profile M&A and Canadian capital markets transactions and has built a reputation for excellence and integrity. Mr. Nilsson holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Physics and Exploration Geophysics from the University of Toronto and a Master in Finance from INSEAD.

Craig Parry


Mr. Parry has over 20 years in the resources sector and is currently the Chairman of Skeena Resources and Viszla Resources Corp. Craig is also the current President and CEO of IsoEnergy Ltd. Mr. Parry is co-founder and Partner of Inventa Capital Corp., a private natural resource investment company and a founder and shareholder of EMR Capital. He was a co-founder of the Tigers Realm Group and was a co-founder of and appointed to the Boards of Tigers Realm Minerals, Tigers Realm Metals and NexGen Energy Ltd. Mr. Parry holds an Honours Degree in Geology and is a Member of the AusIMM.

Christian Kargl-Simard


Mr. Kargl-Simard is a professional engineer with over 17 years of experience in the mining industry, having worked both in technical and finance roles, and is currently the President and CEO of Adventus Mining Corp. Prior to starting Adventus, he worked for 10 years in investment banking roles at Raymond James Ltd. and Haywood Securities Inc. During his tenure in investment banking, Christian was involved in financings raising more than $7 billion, and he assisted in completing over 35 M&A transactions. Mr. Kargl-Simard is a professional engineer (Canada) and holds a B.A.Sc. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of British Columbia.

Jim Pettit


Mr. Pettit has gathered more than 15 years of experience within the industry, actively specializing in compliance, corporate governance, finance and management. He has been a Director of Gold Reach since July 2003, and currently serves as a Director on the boards of six other junior resource companies.

Kinder Deo


Mr Deo has over 35 years of experience in systems development and strategy and planning, including financial systems and audit control, Mr. Deo understands the strict regulations and compliance for business reporting and Governance. He has instructed a university transfer course in Systems Analysis at Douglas College, and holds a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Physics and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He is currently retired. Mr Deo has been involved in the resource sector for over 15 years.

Pat Bell


Mr. Bell is a former British Columbia cabinet minister who served three terms in the BC Legislature and held a number of high profile positions with the Provincial Government, including Minister of State for Mining, Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Innovation, Minister of Forests and Range, and Minister of Agriculture. Over the years Mr. Bell has owned a variety of businesses in British Columbia ranging from logging and trucking to hospitality and the Provinces most northerly winery. Mr. Bell was formerly Executive Vice President of Conifex Timber Inc., and now remains focused on his Northern Lights Estate Winery in Prince George.
